SOAR Kickoff 2018
And so begins another year of FTC, with this year's challenge being Rover Ruckus! This weekend we hosted a kickoff event for everyone in our SOAR league, including 17 people and over 200 people. We were able to feature Mechanical Maniacs (Relic Recovery winning alliance in Houston) and Matt Heverly (Director of JPL at NASA, previous driver of the Mars rover) to present at the kickoff, along with many other teams presenting various topics from programming to CAD to team dynamics. Teams were given a brainstorming room, access to the field we had setup, and copious amounts of pizza! We can't wait to get started on this year's challenge and see what everyone comes up with!
