SOAR/Midwestern League Championship

This Saturday, 24 teams from across the southern half of Oregon came to compete with each other with gracious professionalism and Coopertition in mind. Our team had a blast at this tournament, which gave us the opportunity to see some incredible and unique designs for pushing beacons, raising the cap ball, and shooting particles into the center vortex. We were also able to make new friends in these two leagues (SOAR and Midwestern). By the end of the tournament, our team was able to secure the first place alliance award along with Mechanical Maniacs (7750) and Sutherlin High School (10135). Two of our teammates were also nominated as Dean’s List semi-finalists (Margaux Quady and Gordon Dauterman). Finally, our team was awarded the first place Inspire Award. As happy as we were to win these awards, we were equally grateful for the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and see so many incredible designs, and we cannot wait to see even more teams and robots at the next tournament!
