SOAR Workshop

This year our team organized a summer workshop for all FTC teams in southern Oregon. It was held at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, OR, and had 59 participants from 9 FTC teams. Speakers included team members from TNT, C4, Mechanical Maniacs, and World Inspire Award Winner Hot Wired. The Keynote speaker was Nils Nilsson, who is the former Chairman of Computer Science at Stanford. The event was hosted over two days from 9:00-5:00, and had 20 presentations about topics ranging from programming to team organization to design process. Our team had a blast hosting the event, learned a lot both from their own teammates and other presenters, and we hope to host another workshop next summer.
